Hp Msa P2000 Management Software
Our new customer has HP P2000 Gen3 storage, but we're not able to get into the management. We finally found its IP, but it doesn't respond to http/https (404) nor telnet (not responding). Only power cord and ethernet is connected to it. I can ping the IP, but that's all. Unfortunately, this is in production environment. Best regards, Jaroslav. I am not sure HP Storage Essentials supports the MSA2000i support, but as per the Support Matrix of HPStorage Essentials 6.0.4. MSA 1000 1500 Firmware: Active/Active MSA1000 7.0 MSA1500 7.0 Active/Passive MSA1000 4.48 minimum 5.20 recommended MSA1500 5.10 minimum.
To manage and monitor an HP MSA storage array we need to login on this. Here HP MSA refers to HP MSA 1040 and HP MSA 2040. Default usernames and password are given below to log in to HP MSA.
Username: manage
Default Password: !manage
Role: Manage, Monitor
Interface Access: Web Brower Interface, Command Inline Access, storage management Initiative – Specification
Username: monitor
Default Password: !monitor
Role: Monitor
Interface Access: Web Brower Interface, Command Inline Access.
You can use Storage Management Utility V2 or V3 to log in on HP MSA. Access the HP MSA storage server through the browser and use the above credentials as shown below:

- Type the IP address of the HP MSA 2040 SAN in the browser and press Enter button. It will open the login page.

- Now enter the login credentials and press the Sign In button to login.

Note: I have logged in to HP MSA 2040 SAN through Internet Explorer 11 on a Windows Desktop Machine.
